Al-Qaeda ‘most wanted’ plotting attacks on Britain

The UK Telegraph reports that one of the world’s most wanted terrorists is plotting to send operatives to Britain to launch attacks.

Rajib Karim, who worked for British Airways, tried to use a cabin crew strike to get a job on a plane in order to launch a terrorist attack on a flight to the US.

British Intelligence MI5 discovered his plans after investigating the British links of Anwar al-Awlaki.

The security services believe there could be up to 20 Britons in Yemen who have joined Awlaki’s group, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsular.

The Daily Telegraph understands they are particularly concerned about a number of Karim’s associates, including a man using the pseudonym “Muhammed Britani” based in the city Taiz in southern Yemen.
