Blackwater USA Hired By CIA To Kill al Qaeda Leaders – Report

A secret CIA program to kill top al-Qaeda leaders with assassination teams was outsourced in 2004 to Blackwater USA, the private security contractor whose operations in Iraq prompted intense scrutiny, according to two former intelligence officials familiar with the events.

Editor’s Note – This operation was originally launched in 2001, shortly after al Qaeda killed over 3,000 Americans on 911. Why wouldn’t we go after their leadership using any and all available options?

  • I love this. It should be done more readily against Advisaries. Get Some! When they attacked us, they put all on the table and we sould use every asset we can to hunt them down and destroy them. The only way to neutralize the threat.

  • The first mistake was in terminating the original group of contractors who were expertly trained and fully equiped to carry out the mission. Blackwater has the wherewithal to carry out such a mission. Terrorism would have a different face today if they were allowed to complete their mission. The primary rule of combat is: “First identify the problem…then eliminate it.”

  • This just seems like another way our government is waisting our tax dollars everyday. Paying out millions to train and equip people then never having them carry out a mission? What the hell? When are we as a tax payers going to demand this worthless spending be stopped and put to better use. We’re in a down economy and the government seeks more funding every chance they get and for what?
