CBC News reports that specially trained bomb-sniffing dogs might soon be patrolling Metro Vancouver’s buses and SkyTrains just in time for the Olympics, but that has some Muslims concerned.
The Metro Vancouver Transit Police Service is in the process of selecting the handlers and dogs that will be part of the two-year pilot project, said deputy chief George Beattie.

Well, I’m sorry. Security trumps your tender sensibilities. I’m sorry that you consider dogs unclean. But on balance, I think the possibility of being blown to tiny bits is a wee bit more offensive and of greater concern than you being offended by slobbery dogs.
I am not Canadian or in Canada but in my christian opinion, tough on the Muslims they have acouple of choices:
Become a Christian, Jew or other non Islamic religious person or don’t ride the metro.
Such inconveniences will have to be tolerated by all of us. They shouldn’t be concerned unless there’s something to hide. The dogs won’t have to touch the muslim folks unless they alert to something. Then everyone should be concerned!
I choose D. – all of the above.

How convenient for terrorists-a religion which says it is OK to lie, cheat, do almost anything to anyone in the name of jihad, clothes that women must wear that completely hide who is under them (even,sometimes men hiding under them), a semi-religious complaint that dogs, which could give an idea of what might be hiding under those sheets must not be brought around them because they are ‘unclean’. Assure them the dogs are bathed regularly, don’t use the slobbery types (plenty of other breeds work) and, oh much better yet, tell them if they can’t comply with the rules of the country they may go elsewhere.
How fortunate for the Muslims that they feel dogs are unclean creatures. Isn’t it somewhat unusual that whenever law enforcement has a plan, Muslim’s find some reason to be offended by it. i.e. face must be exposed on drivers licenses, no masks, or whatever they call those things. No they are offended by bomb sniffing dogs. What’s next? Perhaps, they will find that metal detectors are also offensive to their religion. Knowing how politically correct we’re trying to be, maybe only Muslims will be allowed through airport security without being scanned. But we’ll still make little old ladies in wheel chair remove their shoes, and make our own military men and women submit to boot removal and body scans, what a pathetic country of spineless legislators we have in this country!!! Personally, I say PROFILE, PROFILE, PROFILE!!!!
I think that they doth protest too damm much about everything..Have they given the thought to maybe these dogs will find something on someone and prevent a tragedy to us and them as well..These dogs don’t come up to everybody and just sniff them arbitarily unless there is a reason to do so and they have a very keen sense of smell and experience. I would rather have a BND sniff on me that to watch or be a part of a bomb going off killing and maiming. Give the us a break..are you so thinskinned that you would risk being killed and others because you think dogs are unclean…heck some of us humans smell worst than those dogs..Get over it and move on..Maybe we should be doing the same thing here in this country as well.
I’m a Christian and I oppose the commercialization of Christmas. But guess what? I deal with it. Get over it or get out.
