Brad Thor’s The Apostle – A Must Read

Brad Thor - the Apostle

Brad Thor - The Apostle

In his latest book The Apostle, Brad Thor seamlessly weaves recent headlines, current events and fiction into a storyline that powerfully and convincingly draws you into the midst of an incredible International political thriller. The Apostle is an action-packed story with more than a few parallels to the current political climate.

When it comes to blending fact with fiction, Brad Thor is among the best. His exceptional ability adds a dimension of depth to his books that few writers in this genre are able to achieve. It provides the reader with a breathtaking, edge-of-your-seat experience that is unmatched in most political thrillers.

Maybe it’s because Thor isn’t content conducting research from the comfort of an office or study. He lives what he writes. In fact, the research for this particular novel took him on a secret Black Ops mission with U.S. Special Forces in Afghanistan. A mission that brought him face to face with Taliban forces. The result… A top-notch book from cover to cover that you can’t put down.

Brad Thor’s personal character, courage and dedication to his readers is a rarity that is evident throughout the book.

If you’re a Brad Thor fan, it goes without saying that this is a “must read”. If you’re new to Brad Thor or this genre, there’s no better book or writer to start with.

Synopsis

Every politician has a secret. And when the daughter of a politically-connected family is kidnapped abroad, America’s new president will agree to
anything even a deadly and ill-advised rescue plan in order to keep his secret hidden.

A new administration and a new approach to dealing with America’s enemies have left covert counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath without a job. But when American doctor Julia Gallo is kidnapped in Afghanistan, the terms of her ransom leave the president with only one course of action. In a dangerous assignment that the United States government will deny any knowledge of, Scot Harvath must secretly infiltrate Kabul’s notorious Policharki Prison and free the man the kidnappers demand as ransom al-Qaeda mastermind, Mustafa Khan.

But when Harvath arrives, he quickly learns that there is more to the kidnapping than anyone dares to admit. And as the subterfuge is laid bare, Harvath must examine his own career of hunting down and killing terrorists, and ask himself if he has what it takes to help one of the world’s worst go free.

Brimming with the kind of ripped-from-the-headlines authenticity Brad Thor’s internationally bestselling novels are known for, The Apostle doubles down on the blockbuster success of The Last Patriot and reaffirms Thor’s status as the master of the political thriller.

  • Agree with everything said about the book except…. Don’t start with this book. Start with the beginning of the series as there is a lot before this book. Brad Thor is excellent for his lack of political correctness and unapologetic advocacy of stopping our pussy footing around with the Muslims and being PC in America.
