Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano plans to kill a program begun by the Bush administration that would use U.S. spy satellites for domestic security and law enforcement, a government official said Monday.
Napolitano recently reached her decision after the program was discussed with law enforcement officials, and she was told it was not an urgent issue, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk about it.
If homeland security kills he domestic satellite program that will leave us wide open, for home grown attacks. I guess homeland security forgot about home grown terrorism I thought 911 was and eye opener I guess not, home grown terrorism is now on the rise in all countries and it should be a big concern. What effect one country today will effect others in the future. If the government is worrying about interfering with the individuals privacy, HELLO!!!, we all pay taxes, well some of us, we have cell phones, black berries, easy pass, the government knows who we are and what we are doing.
