The threat from al Qaeda certainly appears to be increasing and the man once charged with overseeing the CIA’s hunt of Osama bin Laden said Sunday that the threat posed by al Qaeda is greater now than at the time of the September 11, 2001.
When on CNN’s State of the Union last Sunday, former CIA analyst Michael Scheuer said “We’ve killed some of the al Qaeda leaders and every dead al Qaeda leader is a success. But all we have is a body count.” Scheuer proposed the idea that single successes like this might be misleading.

In America, one might link the idea of rehabilitation to the Christian Crusade that has a strong heritage in this nation. The indoctrination of this idea begins with parenting when children are grounded or sent to their rooms for a certain period of time for punishment.
As adults, the practice is reinforced by sending them to jail, which represents the same type of philosophy. The American detention system is to deprive one of his/her liberty, which is declared valued above physical flogging.
Deprivation of liberty seems to only teach the offender to use more caution the next time. This could be the type of thinking the terrorist count on.
As it states above:
“We now have al Qaeda – the main al Qaeda – in the Pakistan and Afghanistan theater. We have a fully fledged wing in Yemen. We have a full fledged wing in Iraq, a fully fledged wing in north Africa and a nascent wing in Somalia. How can [al Qaeda] be less threatening to us?”…..
That should be clear evidence that our tactics in this “WAR” are not being fully achieved. It is time (actually, past time) we get serious in this battle against al Qaeda and drop the BIG one on them. We know where they are and we CAN do it! Yes, innocent people will be killed (that is already happening and most of them are our friends and allies) – that happens in WAR and that is what we are in… a “WAR” !
It’s time to win and win NOW!
Advise other countries immediately that if they want some of what we dish out, just step up to the plate as ask for it….it WILL be delivered!
We are the most powerful country in the entire world and the world leaders are fully aware of that fact and will not want to get involved when the BIG stick comes smashing down on these “scum-warriors”.
