London policing focused on terror threat

Security for the 2012 London Olympics is being planned with a severe terror threat in mind and spectators can expect airport-style measures, the police officer in charge said Thursday.

Scotland Yard Assistant Commissioner Chris Allison said Britain was sadly experienced in dealing with terror attacks and people going to events would be used to the kind of measures necessary to keep the Games safe.
