The head of homeland security said Sunday she regrets that some people took offense over a report warning that right-wing extremist groups were trying to recruit disgruntled troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
But Secretary Janet Napolitano added that “a number of groups far too numerous to mention” want to commit domestic terrorism attacks and are looking for new recruits.
Right so let me get this right….
You serve your country as a patriot, you get blown up shot at and endure untold discomforts and then you return home after months away from you loved ones and now you are a terror suspect…hmmmm have no idea why the vet would be outraged at this sounds like a great deal-Not!
It is obvious by the timing of her comments that Ms. Napolitano is responding to the record numbers of concerned citizens who hosted Tea Party’s across the nation on tax day to voice their opinions – to exercise their right to free speech. Among them were peoples of all political parties. These were groups of families, senior citizen’s, war veterans, mom’s and dad’s with strollers, Many have sons and daughters overseas fighting for our country – just to name a few of the groups represented. They were peaceful gatherings across the USA. Balloons, American flags and our constitution displayed for many to see, as well as patriotic colors and music. In many parks that filled tens of thousands of people — it was reported that the grounds were left as clean as when they entered. These are conservative citizens not terrorists. Of course thanks to our liberal media deniers who refused to report these gatherings or at best skew the facts to make the people appear as extreme protesters, Ms Neapolitan can probably get away with this inflammatory accusations on their networks since they agree with her point of view. Neapolitan should redirect her intelligence to report intelligent assessments based on facts. Stop treading on me — there are laws protecting our rights!
I agree. They were peaceful protests. I am upset that my tax dollars were spent on a report that would point the finger of terrorism at our veterans, or for that matter, anyone who has a differing opinion from the liberal left. I wish someone would tell me why no one has bothered to do a report on the gangs in America that are terrorizing everyone in their path. If you were going to have a war on terror, I would think that would be the place to start. I haven’t researched, but I bet gangs have killed more people than Al Queda.

I agree with Hope Patrick, Jen and Scott Trow 100 %. I would add one thing, who has protested more bitterly, right wing or Democrat (which is not longer the true Democratic party) ? Who is affiliated with known and proven terrorists, whom have murdered and bragged about it than Obama himself, with Bill Ayers. If we look at Hitler’s rise form Day one when he promised change, but never said what kind of change that is parallel with whom we have in the White HOuse now. If we study the film media and Broadcast media of the day, it was all about praising and promoting the left or Hitler and his Henchmen, Obama recently said he wants to raise a Civilian Defense force, and sees no reason they can’t do what the military does just a s efficiently if not more, Hitler said the same, he raised the SA and the SS.
