The Department of Homeland Security is ready to reveal a new plan it says will deal with security at the border.
While the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which is part of DHS, has not released any specifics yet, the plan reportedly will bring several agencies together in what will be a new model for border security.
Key phrase: “military-type command system”
Well, I’m extremely skeptical that this “new, improved” approach will be any more effective than all the previous “new, improved” approaches over the past 40 years or so, but hey, what do I know – I just foot the bill and stay away from the FEBA. At least there is a growing recognition that this is not a police action (nor ever should have been). Rather, it’s a national security issue. A nation that does not have control of its borders is not a sovereign nation.
How about bringing the troops home from around the world (especially from Iraq and Afghanistan) and stationing them on the US-Mexico border. Then, give them the same resources (bullets, drones, etc) to protect America from the real threats! The terrorists are walking across the border.

If the new border plan does not include the border fence we were promised–and which we desperately need–then it is a worthless piece of government pork, and is only meant as a means of giving us a false sense of security, while continuing to let in the flood of illegal invaders who come to commit crimes, steal jobs, steal benefits, and commit acts of terror against our country. Stop pussy footing around! Secure our borders! BUILD THE FENCE NOW!
