Taking a page from the attack on the USS Cole in October 2000, one drill put a diver in the water near a guided-missile destroyer. The diver’s intent was to place an explosive charge on the hull of the ship. As part of the drill, the base went into lockdown and security personnel responded on land and in the water with highly trained dolphins to find the swimmer in the water.
