Surviving Disaster Premieres Sept 1st – Spike TV

Surviving Disaster Premieres Sept 1st on Spike TV. What will you do when disaster strikes? Spike TV’s new original series Surviving Disaster, led by Navy SEAL Cade Courtley, vividly takes viewers through catastrophic scenarios and arms them with the knowledge needed to survive the unthinkable. Courtley tackles worst-case scenarios and equips viewers with the practical information needed to save their own lives and the lives of their loved ones.

Having had the opportunity to assist in the research for an upcoming episode I can attest that “Surviving Disaster”, is unlike anything you’ve seen on television.  The show will have you on the edge of your seat as you’re instructed step-by-step, how to stay alive when disaster strikes. It’s a show you won’t want to miss and as stated, “could save your life”.

  • just seen this show, and it’s pretty interesting. HOWEVER viewers should remember that what was shown in ‘hijack’ was a best-case scenario of a worst-case scenario. What are the chances that the hijackers will look away from the hostages so that their little cell phone ruse will be allowed to work? Communicating and getting the message across accurately without speaking is also a very difficult thing to do… especially under threatening scrutiny.

Not a bad show, but it might instill into some (many) viewers some overconfidence, and a false sense of security. Landing a plane safely without prior experience EVEN WITH a back seat coach is damned hard i would imagine. And the thought of hundreds of people’s lives in your hands might make you slip up due to nervousness, or do gold with motivation.

just scared that hijackers would now be more conscious after seeing this show, much like how CSI made murderers more cautious. good to know info though

  • I watched the hijacking episode this past weekend, and thought it was very intersting. I am one of those people who don’t panic when something bad happens. I didn’t realize that my children even recognized that quality in me, until my son said, during the show…”gee, mom, you’d do all of that, wouldn’t you?”. I just looked at him and nodded.
