The Joint Terrorism Task Force is looking into a statewide anthrax scare in Alabama. Several local lawmakers appear to be among the targets.
Eight letters containing white powder were mailed to five different locations, targeting four local lawmakers. Jo Bonner, one congressman who received two of these letters has an office located on the 15th floor of the RSA Tower in downtown Mobile. The whole 15th floor was evacuated as a saftey precaution. Bonner’s other office is located in a shopping center on McKenzie Street of Foley. Likewise, over a dozen businesses in the shopping center were evacuated.
