Just 32 of the 4,000 miles – less than 1% – along the northern border have an “acceptable level” of security, according to the Government Accountability Office report, released Tuesday.
Well, it’s time to reallocate resources based on priorities. Let’s bring our troops home, close bases around the world and provide for the common defense in our own country.
Gates and Congress should start shuffling our troops to both the Northern and Southern borders immediately and let our allies, defend their own borders.
