Concern about a possible terrorist strike caused American Airlines flight attendants to confiscate 58 batteries from a passenger aboard a flight from New York to Buenos Aires. Although usually considered safe, the lithium-ion batteries could be rigged to make a bomb, according to an Indiana University engineer.
