A massive EMP attack on the United States could produce almost unimaginable devastation by wiping out essential infrastructure. Communications would collapse, transportation would halt, and electrical power would disappear. Not even a global humanitarian effort would be enough to keep hundreds of millions of Americans from dying of starvation or exposure.
If this is such a threat to our country, then why did the United States Senate committe defeat it?
I know it passed the congress but not the senate.
I think the president should addres this issue before the American people.
If it is bogus then he should tell us, but if it is a real threat, then we should start to take action now.

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee for some unknown reason dropped all of the language in the HR 5026 bill (which was unanimously passed by the House) pertaining to EMP and sabotage threats to our nation’s power grids. Only cyber threats were covered. The bill must be passed in the original House version and there is still a chance to change it back. We must write/call our Senators about this. Thanks
