Dulles-bound flight declares emergency

A United Airlines flight declared an emergency Thursday night at Dulles International Airport after a passenger would not follow a flight attendant’s instructions as the plane approached the airport, airport and company officials said.

United Flight 662 was scheduled to arrive from Denver about 9 p.m. The aircraft landed safely, but was met by emergency personnel, said Kimberly Gibbs, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
