The Columbian is reporting that the FBI is investigating an alleged death threat made against U.S. Rep. Brian Baird last summer during the height of the Tea Parties and Townhalls.

Today’s front page on the Columbian says, “Threat To Baird Not Serious, FBI Says.”
That sure didn’t take long. Managing editor, Lou Brancaccio announced last evening in the comments of this article that a surprise was in store today.
I called back to DC and the Capitol Police weeks ago and even pressed the Columbian for updates. I’m sure others did too and now, it is all wrapped up in a matter of hours.
Perhaps the headline should have been, “Threat not credible.”
