Hackers Target Power Plants and Critical Infrastructure

U.S. government officials say computer hackers are targeting power plants and other critical infrastructure around the world, apparently in hopes of being able to at some point seize control of operations in a targeted attack on the infrastructure.

Last month, experts for the first time apparently discovered a malicious computer code that was specifically engineered to take comand over systems that control the inner system workings of industrial plants.

The Department of Homeland Security has begun building specialized teams that can respond quickly to cyber emergencies at industrial facilities across the country in direct response to the threat.

    My thinking of the 2 men (terrorists) held in Amsterdam have been used as a decoy.

    Maybe they are going to hit rail or subway lines – a stratosphere away.

    But that would be obvious, probably chemical or biological warefare on a major city(ies). This would be a completely different tact than targeting transportation.
