Several homes are on fire after a large explosion in San Bruno California.
The FAA says they do not believe it was a plane and some reports indicate it may have been a gas line that ruptured although the cause has not been confirmed.
People as far as one-half mile away say they felt the boom and heat of the explosion.
There are also reports of multiple evacuations and cars burning in the street. The fire is burning out of control, according the San Mateo County Fire Department.
