New security measures to make nuclear power plants in this country safer take effect next month. An arrest earlier this year prompted the changes that were revealed Monday in an audit released through Sen. Charles Schumer’s office. That arrest revealed that a man suspected of having ties to Al-Qaeda worked at as many as six different power plants in as many years while living in the United States. The New Jersey native, Sharif Mobley, was arrested in Yemen earlier this year during a sweep of suspected Al-Qaeda members.
