Hemet California, Describing it as “urban terrorism,” California Atty. Gen. Jerry Brown joined with Riverside County officials in asking the public to help find those who tried at least three times to kill officers assigned to a Hemet-based gang task force.
“It is incredible and even unprecedented for police officers here to be subject to terrorist attack,” Brown said at a Riverside news conference. “We have seen it south of the border, but not here yet.”
Last December a utility line was redirected to flood the offices with gas so any spark would cause an explosion. In February, a modified handgun was hidden by the gate to the office and rigged to fire. When a gang officer opened the gate, the weapon went off, narrowly missing him. And two weeks ago, police said, a “dangerous” device was found near the unmarked car of a task force member.
Officials have put up a $200,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting in the investigation.
Police in Hemet, San Jacinto on alert after threats
Law enforcement officers in Hemet and San Jacinto remain on high alert this weekend after receiving an anonymous tip that a police car would be blown up in retaliation for police raids aimed at an outlaw motorcycle gang, it was reported.
The bomb threat was reported at 5:45 p.m. Friday when an anonymous caller dialed 911 and told an operator a police car would be blown up within the next 48 hours in retaliation for the “Operation Everywhere” raids conducted Wednesday.

They need to find these scum-bags and treat them as enemies of the State…or enemies of the U.S like terrorists. As long as these pieces of trash see how terrorists and other scum criminals get away with crime, they will continue to do it as well. The last thing the cops need is some bleeding heart liberal lawyer that will step up and protect these pieces of crap.
