Officers will start random bag inspections on the sprawling Washington subway system, the Washington Metro Transit Police said on Thursday, a week after a man was arrested for making bomb threats to the rail system.

So one person’s threat via facebook is enough of a security nightmare to prompt ignoring the Constitution? I think there was an amendment, maybe the 4th one, that protects American Citizens against unreasonable search and seizure.
Just by a person being in the subway is now enough of a justification to force them to be searched?
This is completely and utterly disgusting.
A bomb threat is *NOT* something to joke about, but neither is the horrible way that citizens are being treated now.
