Bomb Threat Forces Plane To Land In Sweden

The Daily record reports a man was arrested yesterday after a plane heading to Pakistan landed in Sweden because of a bomb threat.

The Pakistan International Airlines flight, carrying 273 people, was on its way from Toronto in Canada to Karachi when the pilot requested permission for an emergency landing. Stockholm police  said the pilot decided to land after being told Canadian police had received a tip-off that a passenger on board had explosives.

The plane landed safely and was held at the end of the landing strip as police detained a man .
