Authorities have arrested a suspect in the July car bombing that killed three people in the northern border city of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico’s Public Safety Department said Monday. The suspect, Jose Ivan Contreras Lumbreras, 27, and four associates were detained Sunday in Juarez, Mexico, just across the border from El Paso, Texas.
A federal police officer, a municipal police officer and a paramedic were killed in the early evening of July 15 when a car packed with explosives was detonated as they were investigating a body dumped on a sidewalk in Juarez.
