Fingerprint Sharing Results In Deportation of 47,000

Records show that nearly 47,000 people have been removed or deported from the U.S. after the Department of Homeland Security went through roughly 3 million sets of fingerprints taken from bookings at local jails.

About one-quarter of  those removed or deported apparently did not have criminal records.
