Landlords watch for individual threats after Osama bin Laden’s death

In the days after Osama bin Laden’s death, the Department of Homeland Security is telling landlords and property management companies to be on the lookout for threats from retaliating lone wolves, rather than well-organized groups.

The Building Owners and Managers Association International started an international emergency preparedness committee after Sept. 11, 2001, that communicates directly with the DHS, acting as a sounding board for the agency and as a information distribution network for landlords.
