A new video of the militant chief of the Pakistani Taliban is making the rounds but fails to prove he survived a U.S. missile strike earlier this year.
U.S. and Pakistani officials have become increasingly confident that the militant commander was killed in mid-January, but the Pakistani Taliban have refused to concede Hakimullah Mehsud’s death.
The 43-minute video, shows a healthy Mehsud answering questions from an interviewer off-screen. A masked man holds his microphone.
